i34 review in Israel
« on: 4 Jun 2009, 02:15 am »
The original review in Israeli Home Theater magazine (for those of you who can read Hebrew)

http://www.hometheater.co.il/article01512

and translated by Google (for the rest of us)

http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hometheater.co.il%2Farticle01512&sl=iw&tl=en&history_state0=

and some comments, including editor's who had the amp for some time in his setup

http://74.125.91.132/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&sl=iw&tl=en&u=http://www.hometheater.co.il/modules.php%3Fname%3DForums%26file%3Dviewtopic%26p%3D835528&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhg_nRBS0VaL9A5SwaP9XE7GQDhbYA#835528

After trying to read automatic translation, learning Hebrew does not seem like an unsurmountable obstacle  :D However, it does seem that i34 got pretty good marks  :thumb:

Yea, that is tough read for sure.
Much lost in translation.

Well, there is a review in Elbonian but Google is not that advanced yet

And Sonic Flare should have one posted any day now.

"Sonic Flare" has been pretty much dead in the water.
I never go there. Dagogo is another one.

Actually, the i34 deserves better.
Just my humble opinion of course.

Den,

Thanks for the vote of confidence!

There are some improvements coming to Sonic Flare - besides the i34 review

I calls em like I see em. We audiophiles are brutal.
Well, I didn't mean it to be derogatory to Vista Audio at all.
I own the equipment so I know it is exemplary.
I realize it 's tough to get reviews especially for smaller manufacturers.
These poor babies are so backed up.
On the other hand too, there are manufacturers that don't want their stuff reviewed for fear of being killed. I have stopped all publications except Bound for Sound.

Den,

No offense taken.... you' are a vocal supporter of Vista Audio and I'm deeply grateful  :notworthy:

Reviews are always tricky for a manufacturer, but there are some great guys who take pride in writing thorough, honest and entertaining articles that all of us can use for making educated decisions. I have been blessed to get to know (even if only on the phone and email) a few of those exemplary individuals and my experiences have been extremely positive.
