Another crazy too good to be true sale.

Carnegie Acoustics got in a shipment of CSB-1's that did not get the polyfill properly installed. And instead of un-boxing them all, and fixing each one, and re-boxing it, they are just going to mark them down to a ridicules price and move them.

These speakers are a really nice looking gloss black. And yes the use the OEM version Neo 3 pdr.

Grills are held on magnetically.

They even come with tube connectors. Yep a $59 a set of connectors that are better than any binding post on the market. As you can see they are also rear ported. They will hit a -3db of 55Hz.

Just remove the woofer (six Allen head screws). And pull out the wade of insulation.

As you can see the crossover uses high quality poly caps and air core inductors.

Then re-install the insulation covering the side walls and crossover, but leaving a nice little pocket behind the woofer and leaving a clear path to the port. And now your B stock speakers are A stock.  :thumb:

These retail for $899 a pair. See more info on them here: http://www.carnegieacoustics.com/#/products/

Now you can get a pair of these for $399 a pair plus shipping.

Just call me at GR Research to order them and I'll even handle the sale. 940-592-3400

What would it run to max out the cross overs.   How much no rez would be enough.  That's a smokin deal.

Hi,

What woofer comes with this speakers, M130 or M130X?

I went looking for the same info and found a couple previous posts from Danny that talked about the woofer:

Quote from: Danny Richie
Carnegie Acoustics is a client of mine that I designed two product lines for.

One is a Contemporary line based on my N series kits using the BG Neo tweeter and a knock off of my M-130 woofer. And they did a nice job on the woofers. They are just made by a different manufacturer.

Quote from: Danny Richie
The woofers are a knock off of my M-130's. Sensitivity is slightly lower that the response (before a network is used) is not quite as smooth, but the sound is similar.

Very good jvgillow.

The crossover can be upgraded to Sonicaps. It would be $67 per speaker.

One sheet of No Rez will easily cover the pair.

And yes, this is a real smoking deal.

Would replacing the stock woofer with the M-130 or M-130X require changes to the crossover?

Looks like a great candidate for a Skiing Ninja style upgraded crossover!

My newly adopted son from Ethiopia just blew two of my speakers in my HT setup :duh:  I was planning on moving away from the B&Ws anyway to the N3s but don't have time for DIY right now.

If I buy a pair of these and the center in the other deal, are they sonically matched?

Thanks

They do sonically match.

How about a deal on some CST-1' to match the CSC-1 center?

That is tempting, but if they are ported in the back like my N3-TLs, I can't use them where I have my TV, because they would be about 18" from the back wall, right?

If that can work, let me know what the 'deal' is for the 3.

Thanks Danny

That is not going to be a problem. 18" is plenty.

How about a pair for left and right and a CSC-1 for a center?

Danny, I'm guessing these are better performers than a pair of fully upgraded X-LS Encores - is that correct?

Okay, if bought as a threesome...

How about a pair of CST-1's (the floor standing model) marked down to $999 if purchasing a CSC-1 center channel for $349.

That's only $1,348 for all three plus some shipping.

They would normally be $2,698.  :o

How's that for a deal?  :thumb:
