I'm new to streaming, except for Netflix and Amazon prime.

Is there a single app (on tablet, phone, or even the smart tv) that can search across all the services like disney+, Hulu, HBO max, Peacock, etc..?

Thanks to a teenager in the house, I now have a plethora of services, and don't like searching each of them to find a movie.  I've even purchased a movie on Amazon, not realizing I had it for free on disney+.

I believe there is one called 'Just Watch.'

I use the web site https://www.justwatch.com/ as well. Edit - Should have known there was an app for that.

I have a Roku with dozens of available services supported.  Doing a search on that will find it regardless of where a video is.

You can get a Roku pretty cheap, esp on Black Friday.

If I search for something using Alexa on my Firestick TV it gives me multiple options for viewing the result. It relies on the specific service to  integrate to the Amazon Catalog. I think that a service would want to do this so I will speculate and say that most of the content services that are available on a Firestick TV show up in these voice initiated searches.

Easy to search across all streaming providers if your Smart TV has Roku operating system.   It also works with the Roku plug in device mentioned by artur9.

I wouldn't have to watch the show through the roku, right?

Serious question or snark?

The roku plugs into the TV so watch it on the TV.  Or buy a RokuTV, I gave one to my eldest, pretty nice.

Roku's business is in partnering with streaming services so they want you to find stuff from one of the partners as easily as possible.

So, you have Netflix and Prime.  You do a search, roku finds it on either, you start watching.

That was serious, not snark.  Netflix, prime, Hulu, disney+, Peacock, CBS, mlb.tv,...

It's just that there are so many ways to get content onto the screen, and I've become comfortable using the apps that are on the Samsung TV.  Basically I'd use the roku to find where to watch the shows, then watch them using the TVs built in apps.

Maybe all I need is the roku app.  I'll have to look into that.

Perhaps I need to enlist my teenage son to figure it out

Roku the app on a Samsung TV or Roku the hardware device that you plug into a Samsung TV?

I use a plug in device but that's because I don't have a smart TV with Roku already on it.

I have something called Samsung tv plus.  Not too intuitive so far, can't find a search menu, only browse.

Thanks everyone.  I just installed JustWatch on my Samsung TV.  It's one of the apps it supports.

On the Apple TV you can hold down the button with a microphone on it, and say the name of the program or movie you're looking for and it will show you the available options. My grandson showed me this of course and I now use it all the time.
