! I've got several of his releases. Always great music from MC.
Whenever I listen, whichever CD I start out with, if I'm not intending to go through a specific artist's catalogue (chronological order, of course

), from then on, that day/night, selections are based on whatever feeling/emotion I have so as to either continue the groove or change it altogether. Strictly based on feel. Unfortunately, that often means skipping over otherwise terrific jazz CDs, often newer releases. I've realized that many have been neglected this way, as great as they are. So, I decided, at least for a while, to listen to jazz releases only recorded since the last 25 years (in alphabetical order). I will likely cheat here and there and toss in some oldies, but for the most part I'm going to try this method. I know I'll enjoy it, as I love all of my CDs, especially jazz. So last night I started out spinning these gems:
John Abercrombie - Open Land

Mose Allison - Gimcracks and Gewgaws

Karrin Allyson - Ballads, Remembering John Coltrane

Karrin Allyson - Imagina, Songs Of Brasil
