Kimber Iso Mike System

There is an article about a most interesting looking mike, the Kimber Iso Mike System, in the latest issue of The Audiophile Voice.  Pictures to include one of it in use in a session and the result according to the author, from The Fry Street Quartet playing two Beethoven quartets are also featured that has just been released in SACD.  For those of you who may not know and who have been around for awhile, the editor/publisher of this mag is Eugene Pitts, the man behind the old AUDIO magazine of years back.  There is also a well thought out double blind test of some top amps including a Levinson and an Audio Research but it is a very inexpensive high power amp from a company called Behringer that blew their minds.  Thought we might be interested in one or the other.

At the last two RMAF's Ray Kimber has demoed the surround sound master recordings from the Iso Mike at the show.  They were wonderful reproductions of the performance.

Hope to hear the most recent Iso Mike recordings at this years RMAF in October.   :D
