Do you guys have any examples of "jumping the shark" or "nuking the fridge" in modern TV or movies series?

(creative work has reached a point in which it has exhausted its core intent and is introducing new ideas that are discordant with, or an extreme exaggeration of, its original purpose)

On the flip side, do you guys have any examples of "growing the beard" in modern TV or movie series?

(dramatically improves in quality)

Jumping the Shark - The Walking Dead after about season 5.

Growing the Beard - The White Lotus.  Season 1 was very good, but season 2 was even better.

Oh my gosh so many, but Fast and Furious comes to mind.

A side note that Jumping the Shark came from the Happy Days episode where Fonsi does exactly that while water skiing.

Agree on TWD.....   The Season 4 (?) Finale (The one where they finally find Carol's daughter) felt like the high-water mark to me...
