I own both a BP26 (4 years old) and a BP17 Cubed (2 years old) and, in my system, the latter is better in every department.  I'd never willingly go back to the '26.  But, in a different system context and according to taste, some may still prefer the '26.

The BP26 exists because it is an ANALOG only 'state of the art' preamp - in fact it is still my favorite if a straightforward analog preamp is your choice!  :thumb:
