I just got a Gustard u18 DDC and was wondering what mode to use for the Musician Draco for I2S?

More than likely it's the same as Denafrips as there is some connection between the companies. From the manual you have eight choices on the DAC so you may have to just cycle through each one of them.

Ok I will try that thanks! I thought you toggle through the modes on the U18

I guess you put stereo in low volume and use the one with no hiss and correct left and right stereo.

I would make sure to put the preamp or integrated on mute while I was making the switch and then take it out of mute.  But yes to start with leave the Gustard on it's default and cycle through the Musician options.  If that doesn't work then put the Musician on default and cycle through the Gustard options.

Ok great tip! So when the music has no hiss and left and right channel is correct then you just leave it. Btw we don't need to worry about the MCLK pin outs?

Also when I look at both manuals I think Gustard should be in mode
2 and Musician Draco in mode 5!
