I purchased a pair of 6n8s from the Foton plant recently as a 6sn7 sub. Haven’t had a chance to run them yet as I am waiting for a pair of adapters for the 6922 pin out.
Russian tubes are hit or miss, but when they sound good they sound really good.

If they are brown/red base from the 1970s they have great sound for hi-fi, I had bought many 6H8C/6H9C Novosibirsk from 1980s at GSTubes for about $1.30 each at the time, they also have great sound quality but for guitar amps LOL
For hi-fi use they have a harsh treble but are reliable, I can live with it for this price and the nice service from Andrey. Please keep us posted when you have an impression on his sound quality.

This past week I scored 5 Amperex Bugle Boys. 2 matching pairs and an orphan.
The pairs are all 12AUX7/ECC82 BBs with Large Halo getters
I'm looking for a matching tube for the orphan that's labeled 12AUX7A with a Small Halo
FWIW, post yer toobs and Rock On!

@FullRangeMan asked me to post these photos here which I also have on the For Sale forum.
National Union 226 DHT globe preamp tubes. These were purchased as NOS for a preamp project that I never got to. I did end up buying an 01A preamp which used similar ancient tubes. Amazing how these hold up and make great sound. I still use a globe rectifier in my Lampizator DAC.
These have the original sales stickers on them dated 1933. Very cool...
Best,
Paul
