After assembling what I consider to be a pretty nice sounding system I realized that I might benefit from adding a decent quality power conditioner. For many years I've used a brickwall filter for surge protection and an inexpensive Blue Circle "thingy" for conditioning and have felt that was probably all I needed.
I read positive reviews of conditioners such as SurgeX and the PI Audio Uberbuss, and then came across an interesting discussion of the FO-Felix which peaked my curiosity, so I decided to give it a try. One was built for me that looks almost identical to the photo below.

Once installed, it took a few days for me to really begin to hear improvements, but now, a week in, those improvements have gone from subtle to transformative. The best word I can think of to describe the sound I'm getting now is "effortless". Any trace of stridency, boominess or glare that was present is gone. The sound is more clear, wide open and "fuller", with uncanny 3D depth and the deepest bass I've ever heard, low level details are floating in the air. These are exactly the kinds of improvements I had hoped good power conditioning could provide, but it's much more than I expected.
Honestly, having had very little experience with power conditioning, I can't compare what I'm hearing to what other power conditioners may be able to do. But the sound improvements brought by the FO-Felix are so substantial that I felt I needed to share my findings.
System:
(Sonore Microrendu, Schiit Yggdrasil, Tortuga passive, Mivera Purepower 1200SE amp, Zenwave power cords and D4 interconnects throughout, Cain & Cain Abby single driver speakers w/subs and Fostex T900 super tweeters)
