Hey Rick is the shape of that dome tweeter suppose to help its dispersion pattern?

It's for other reasons but it does have a pattern different from all domes. The shape is mainly intended to change the breakup modes and lower distortion.

Good morning, Rick.

I’ve read about the new elliptical drivers. Is the new shape/design beneficial at lower volume or does it affect dispersion only at louder volumes?

Actually, I’ve wondered about this with other drivers. I’d say 85% of my listening is at sub-75dB levels.

The dispersion is the same regardless of volume. For lower volume listening it's more about how the speaker is balanced or voiced.

Oh. I didn’t know that. Thank you.
