This was my first receiver that got me started JVC Nivico from there I bought
a Crown D150a amp and then another one and bridged them
with the large Advent loudspeakers

I had some Knight KA-25 but at the time is was no good because it had tubes, plus the thing ran really hot and sounded mediocre.  Then I found a Heathkit AA-22 in my parents attic and had to replace the germanium transistors with silicons, basically redoing most of the amp.  This was in 1987 when the germaniums were hard to find.  (this was an image I pulled from the web).  I still have the amp and one day may retrofit it with a "gainclone", or maybe not.
