Mine was not the CDT-200 for which Steve has a turbomod but its lowly brother the CDT-100. This had already been modded a year or so ago but the results were not too great. In fact it had to be sent back a second time as it arrived inoperative. Steve was kind enough to see what he could do with it and the results were spetacular! The sound was more clear and detailed. I could pinpoint instruments in the orchestra as never before. This was despite the fact that Steve was disappointed that he could not make it sound better and that it was not a match for his reference modded Sony S7700. The only thing I can say is that that unit must sound out of this world. Anybody want to sell a S7700 so I can move up to nirvana?

I think Steve is doing too good a job on the 7700's, they are getting hard to find.  Presently there are none on Audiogon, none on Videogon, and until last night only one on ebay and that one was inoperative!
