Title: NuForce MCH3se
Post by: Ike Carumba on 3 Jun 2015, 06:11 pm
Recently I was listening to my multi-amped stereo system when there was a sudden power outage. The power was restored almost immediately, which probably sent a surge through my audio equipment damaging my MCH3se multi-channel amplifier. The pre-amp signal is amplified but massively distorted. It sounded to me like the amp was 'oscillating'... it's a very loud hash-y noise that pulses. It seemed to me that the noise was loud enough to damage my speakers. The amplifier is out of warranty so I expect to pay for any/all needed repairs. I took the amplifier to Optoma, the new owners of NuForce, to get a repair estimate but they claim not to have the parts to repair the amp. Please advise.

File a support ticket on the NuPRIME site.  They may be able to assist you since that is the SE amp.
