Some remote kit questions. .

John:

Will your remote kit work with any pot?  I am thinking of putting together a passive, and am not sure which one I want to go with, but it may not be stepped like the DACT.  Do you think this would work with maybe an ALPS?

Also, how big are the increments when you hit the remote?  Can you make fine adjustments?

Thanks!

Hello!

The remote kit is specifically designed to run stepped attenuators like the Dact, Seiden, and now the Shallco switches. Part of the cost of the kit is the hardware to couple the motor to the specific switch. Although I could sell you a kit less hardware you would have to make your own coupling hardware and so it is not a good option.

If you are looking to remote an alps pot then you should use a motorised Alps and I think there is a remote kit here that will do the trick:

I have not used this kit but I know of the company and I would expect it to work out fine. Looks like you'll need a power source but I am sure they'll suggest something for you.

Many Thansk!
