No sheep and no elk, too warm but they are getting 12-18" of snow today.

The "Mayan Show"

This group of performers put on a very athletic dance show with authentic costumes. I have seen this show 2 times - it seems to play every Saturday night, at least in the summer. I also have video!

Ooh, good thing it's not a gun - then MY circle would finally have the knock-down, drag-out political brawl I've always been hoping to have to moderate! :P  Everyone stay clam, I'm sure Pete ONLY intends to make julienne fries with that knife, nothing more, nothing less!

jqp, those Mayan shots are nice, but the white balance has angered Hunahpu Utiu!

Not sure the Mayans concerned themselves with "white balance" Nathan.
Are you being racial?

nathanm, this Windows 7 wallpaper reminds me of one of your paintings

Here is a detail

I was wondering if the white balance would be noticed - I was going to fix it, honest - my RAW processing PC is currently down but I will get to it...

That guy just showed up the other pigeons by crapping on that fountain.  That's Windows default wallpaper?  Pretty cool.

Great Sand Dunes NP. Took awhile to get this shot, had to walk a dry creek bed for a little bit.

Given the scale of it I'd have to guess it is Stalingrad, maybe Volgagrad now?  Just an educated guess, but I've been to Moscow and Leningrad and didn't see any such thing there.

Yeah great shot...

How close were you, with what lens? What happened after you took the shot? I assume they didn't impale you on their racks for invading their territory?

Focal length was 84mm, using a canon EFS 55-250mm lens. After a few shots I backed back down into the dry creek bed, didn't want to aggravate him anymore.
