Hey!

I snapped this shot at a recent NYAR Rave at Phil's :D  :guitar:

This cool guitar belong to the one and only Chris/lonewolfny42.

I do like this picture in B&W than in color. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Thanks!  I really love the muted browns coupled with the clean white.

Tripod?

Yes, but only because the lens gets heavy after a while.  The IS system allows for that lens to be hand held under most circumstances.

Now that's funny!   Good job on that magazine.

I made a fake Playboy mag cover last year using a picture of my Pug and gave it to my wife as a gag gift.

I rented a 70-200VR f/2.8 and walked around with it in my hands for a morning, once.  Not too bad in the beginning, but definitely not enjoyable by the end.  That's a great shot.

Taken from a window in my family room.  Tree was in the shade, so the lighting isn't the best...

Aww.  Baby birds are simultaneously grotesque and cute at the same time.  I prefer the warmer white balance of the tighter shot, but that little spot of sun is distracting.

Yeah, the sun and shadows were playing havoc with my exposures and composition.  Anyways, here's one taken an hour or two later, with some better lighting.  Apparently, there are 4 baby birds (robins) in the nest:
