Welcome BZ.  What lens did you use on the second shot?

It looks like a telephoto. Hmmm...

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II used on both.

Thanks :thumb:

I like the shallow depth-of-field.  That is a one fast lens F/1.2

Tripod?  I have a hard enough time getting things in focus with my manual f/1.8

Cool photo, I use to have one of these little dudes. Little fella lived to be over 18 years old.

Interesting critters!  I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille.  That first one is almost a "frogscape"! Heh.  The eyeballs are really cool looking too.  The middle fella looks like he really DOES need it like he needs a hole in the head!

He actually does. That's his ears. I always worried about him getting debris in there, but never had any problems.
It's a "Leopard Gecko" by the way. Very docile creature.

It's a miniature dragon!  Is his belly encrusted with dwarven jewels?

Ah, yes....Now I see it in the eyes.
Is it a Gecko found naturally, or a bred species? I'd never heard of it.
Definitely a very close relative. Personally, I'd like to get a Tokay but lack the space needed to properly house one.

It's a naturally occurring species found in southern Madagascar.
