Seljalandsfoss Falls - Iceland
We were soaked after hiking under the falls that day!
You can see how muddy the trail was to the right.

Wow, your shots are simply amazing.
How many hours of PP do you have in shots like these?

LOL - Thanks, Bob.
I have so many photos stored in my computer, from recent trips.
So I usually try and pull up a couple and PS/edit them to show, occasionally.
Usually only takes me an hour or so to get to my liking.
Thanks again!

Of all the topics here on AC, this one is my favorite. (Second was some guy and
his daughter playin with wood). The show y'all have given me is very much appreciated.
These places that I will never get to see in my life have been presented with such professionalism.
WELL DONE and thanks

Gfroman,
That picture is awe inspiring!! :thumb:
Reminds me of one of my favorite photographers , Galen Rowell .
for those of  you who have never heard of Galen , . He was one of the greatest color nature photographers who has ever lived.  I highly recommend getting one of his many books where he shares his vision.

Here is a link to see some of his  amazing images:

Gfroman, can you please share with us what went into making this image!
Camera, lens, exposure, filters?
What are you doing in photoshop for an hour?
I’m sure many here could learn from this info.

Thanks , Todd

Wow - I am honored with anything to be compared with Galen Rowell (sad when he and his wife died in that plane crash).
He and Art Wolf have always been my favorites!

My backpack usually includes my Nikon D800, 16mm, 17-35mm, 14-24mm, 28-300mm, tripod.
Usually only use a polarizer filter.

In PS I typically crop, adjust highlight/shadows, contrast, vibrance.
Do some dodge/burn, sharpening, and maybe graduated filter.
And of course clone out all the damn tourists!

Thanks again for liking my photographs!

Caminito del Rey - The Death Hike
It was a really fun 4 hour hike a few years ago!

Hey!

You walked all the way to the other side behind the waterfall? I had my sneakers on, with my camera under my jacket I got almost half way, when I saw how muddy and how narrow it was I turned back. The sad part was that I left my hiking boots at my Airbnb that day :( But if even with my boots I'm not sure if I want to get cameras and my bag wet. Anyway, nice shot there. Having a very wide angle lens really useful at that waterfall for sure. I only had 24mm/28mm that day.

Take care,
Buddy
