Speaking of "nails in the coffin," here's some more wise ways to spend your summer fun... cheap too!

Indeed.
I'll take my "nails" over those any day. Cheaper and taste better.

Thank you!

In fact, I bought an entire box of nails this week.
Here are some more.

That's what I call be at the right place at the right time.
Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Last time I was there was 43 years ago, the falls are still there,
but a lot more buildings were built.

Shooting grandson's baseball gave the other evening when this flock glided past.   600mm lens.  I just spun and shot hand held against the bright sky.  Sometimes things work out OK.

Almost SOOC.  Just lightened the sky 2/3rds of a stop and touched contrast a little.

I had an early morning visit from this young Dragonfly who serendipitously landed on the post of my Hummingbird feeder. He (he or she?) seemed to be drying out his wings.

The first shot was taken with a 300mm lens, as I feared that I couldn't get too close. When the Dragonfly seemed relatively nonplused, I took out my 50mm Macro and walked right up, in his face and got personal-like.
Then he turned his head and looked straight at me. :o Whoa! It was kinda a "Men in Black" moment!

Not a Praying Mantis but I’ve had this little guy turn it’s head to look
at me before it flew off.
