Hi all Audio Circle members.
For a long time I wanted to try the following.
I climbed on the roof of my penthouse (Listening room) on the 4th floor
and with my Manfrotto sturdy tripod and my Nikon D-200
(AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm F3.5 - 5.6 GII DX SWM ED aspherical lens)
I've tried different speed from 1 to 10 seconds with a F stop between F3.5 and F8.
This is the results, nothing extraordinary, but it was fun.
I will do some more pictures, but next time on the sidewalk.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
I did some more night shot experimentation.
This picture was taken in front of our house on which is on the corner of the street.

This one with a motorcycle.

This one with my sister in law that was told to be motionless,
obviously, she did not listen to me.

Our house. Excuse me, it's my wife's house, since the mortgage is to her name.
It's cost her 175,00 USD to build it with 12" armored concrete on each of the floors.

12" armored concrete,
it's standard here in Vietnam with two story floors houses.
All the walls are made with red bricks.
Pretty much sound proof all over the house.

Well it's "Hummertime" here again at the farm. Sharing in the delights of this beautiful August day in Southern Illinois... the weather has been delicious, as I'm sure that this Ruby Throated Female Hummingbird can attest. Here she is posing for a lovely portrait at our Barnhouse feeder.

I bought a bunch of "portable" softboxes, umbrella-type softboxes, beauty dish, etc in an attempt to have better lighting when I'm out; however, it turned out I rarely used these things because then I needed to also bring light stands/tripods/wireless triggers. 

In search for a decent portable light setup, I bought a large and small Rogue Flashbender on word-of-mouth.  These are great because they are very large bounce cards but also can double as softbox once you fit a diffuser panel in front via Velcro.  They are also light, sturdy, and bendable/rollable to carry.

I think I found my true portable two-light setup.  Large Rouge/diffuser on cam right, small one cam left, all fired as slaves from small Canon 90EX flash on-camera.

Hi,

Its literally taken me a couple of years to take a photograph that I thought was truly deserving to be posted on this circle.  It was taken near some waterfalls near Nha Trang in Vietnam a couple of weeks ago.  I might even have it blown up and hang it on my wall because I like it so much.  I was using my new Nikon d7000 lens was Nikon 18 - 300 at the time.

Shame on you !
I've been writing, repeating, yelling and posting plenty
of Vietnamese pictures to all the Audio Circle members
that me the (French) Canadian,
I've been living in Vietnam for the last 18 years...
And I'm always happy to see a Canadian or a neighbor American.
Even if you are not from North America you are still welcome.
Well, maybe next time ?
I will have to be before March 2014,
because I plan to go back to my home country for good.
Well... I am sure you had a nice trip.

Hi JonL and all Audio Circle members.
Your small/portable reflector/sofbox are nice and inexpensive I am sure.
I am the Lumiquest exclusive distributor for Vietnam and they are difficult to sell because expensive.
However, they have nice foldable units like soft boxes and reflector.
The lighting of the picture of the little girl in my opinion is perfect.
Keep the pictures coming they are all nice and make me smile.
