Well Tempered Tonearm Classic Cup Loose
« on: 2 Jul 2024, 07:18 am »
Hello, I'm Peter. Long-time lurker on the Well Tempered and Van Alstine threads.

So here's my question: Recently got the Marigo Well-Damped Clamp and installed it on my WTT Arm but in the process  the cup came loose (my fault). Marigo's instructions tell me not to let that happen but...oops. The cup was held by double-sided foam tape. I found some 3M foam tape that I tried but it is thicker and doesn't seem to hold.

I'm unable to use the arm until cup is solidly attached. Any suggestions?

It's probably not holding as the surfaces aren't totally clean.
Scrub them with lighter fluid and try again.

I'm sure you're right. Was a little tired after struggling with it. It also occurred to me I have to make sure it's centered properly. Luckily I still have WTT protractor handy.

Thanks.
