I was wondering on how this amp can be single ended when it uses EL34 (pentode)Power tubes. Also looking for opinions on it for La Scala speakers on a budget and maybe some possible upgrades?

thx

Do you mean triode?
SE means one power tube per channel.

So they are using all of the EL34, not just tapping into part of it? (Excuse my lack of terms)

Same model, they will wire it different if requested, or at least some sellers have in the past.
The one you linked says ultra linear, but gives the triode power rating.
Usually you will see 12 watts u/l and 6 watts triode.

There is an A12 that just rewires the preamp socket to accept 12ax7 tubes but still at 6 volts

I have no idea why you quoted me and posted this.
I'm talking about the A10 and triode or u/l operation of the output tube.

There seems to be a bit of confusion about the A10. The amp puts out 6 WPC, that is 12W total.

opnly bafld Which sellers do the triode mod? I've only seen them sold on A'zon or China HiFi. There is an article on another site that shows how to do a diy mod to triode.  Pretty cool if they'll ship a new one in triode. IIRC, the power drops to 3WPC.

You can go with that if you want, but the link I gave has 12w x 2.
Output power can vary depending on where the % distortion is when rated.
Things may have changed in the last year, IDK, anyone interested should email vendors.

I have not heard of that mod. Would love more. All I have seen is using an adapter or rewiring the preamp tube socket.  Please link that triode/UL mod if you can?

thx

I'm talking about buying it wired for triode operation.

All the links below are 12 x 2, Chifi is not known to be conservative on power numbers.
Decware (as an example) sells an EL34 triode amp and claims 6 watts.

Again, if interested in triode operation email vendor and ask (or mod one if you have the ability).
I don't own one or care to own one, just have followed a long thread about them.
Started out just try to help bob understand the difference between pentode and single ended.

Also there is the Wright Audio Royale full integrated with balance control and hard wiring at $1555 mad in usa, transformers are bigger than Decware.
