There are vanishingly few current amplifiers on the market. Low Rout amplifiers likely hold over 99% of the market, but there is a growing number of amplifiers with Rout high enuff to start having issues with loudspeaker impedance, these are the ones that require the most attention.

Hopefully someone playing with a current amp will understand its speaker needs. BTW, current amplifiers ar emuch more common in the DIY world.

One of the local engineers has built a number of variable transconductance amplifiers where the Rout is continuaously variable with a knob on the back. It is very eye opening to hook different speakers up and play.

One of those amplifiers mopped into Joe Rasmusens 3875 tube buffered current amplifier has its own diyAudio.com thread if anyone is interested in playing.
