I have a Sony DVP-S9000es DVD/SACD/CD player that recently stopped working. The cosmetics would be perfect if not for a few swirls on top that take close inspection to find. The problem started a few weeks ago when the player would say "error" when a disc was inserted and after a few tries would play. Now however the player shuts down after it goes through its start up procedure. My guess is a power supply problem but that's only an educated guess. I checked the Sony web site and for repair at a regional facility was quoted at $212 including shipping. I purchased this player about a year ago to try SACD but have since moved on so this player is excess to my system. It was a very good cd player when working.
