NOH with tube power amps (50-150 watt)
« on: 27 Nov 2003, 04:07 pm »
How does the NOH match up with higher powered tube power amps?

Are there any issues to watch out for?

Thanks!

Hello!

Nothing really to watch out for. Tube amps tend to have fairly high input impedance and also tend to be quite sensitive and so should work well. I use everything from 1W 45 amps to ASL 845 PP amps all the way up to 200W ASL Hurracanes with the NOH with good results. If you have an amp in mind let me know and I'll take a look and make sure all looks well.

Many Thansk!

John,

Sorry to jump in here, but how would they work with Kora Cosmos Reference Mono Blocs (www.kora.net)?

According to Kora, the input impedance is 100K.

Thanks,

George

Hello!

Sorry for the late reply. Kept meaning to skip to the Kora site and have a look then something would come up.....

Cosmos listed as 47K at the site -although the reference could be 100K. Either is a really easy load to drive so I'd not see any problems at all.

Looks like nice amps and I have always liked the design of the Kora stuff.

Thanks!
