Title: Emotiva BasX MC-700 AV processor
Post by: rif on 5 Dec 2016, 02:57 am
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with this?  I believe it is a new offering.  I'm contemplating getting one along with their 7 channel amp, A-700 to replace my Denon AVR 2113ci.

I had a long conversation with the tech at Emotiva yesterday and decided to pull the trigger on it. I have been looking for a good and affordable pre-amp for awhile now and this will fit the bill. I want to get my order in before it goes up to $599. It's $499 until the end of the month.

I wonder with that switcher supply, what the output voltages are

Best,
Anad.

It's a preamp, no amp section.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I'm talking about the DC voltage supplies not the AC voltage swing of the output stage.

The cable (on the right) that goes from the switcher supply has multiple DC outputs to provide power for the main preamp board. I was wondering what those DC voltages are since an upgrade for this unit would be a linear supply. There is a lot of empty space for that.

Best,
Anand.
