Semiconductor shortages driving up price of chips
« on: 27 Oct 2021, 02:18 pm »
Over the past several months the growing supply shortages of a wide range of semiconductor parts, including microcontrollers, regulators, DACs, and even some op amps, have driven the raw parts cost of our ePot.V3 stepped attenuator/controller board by almost 40%. That's if you can actually find supply which is many cases you can't. Multiplied across many industries and countless businesses, this is throwing a spanner in the works like nothing we've seen in the past 50 years. May you live in interesting times indeed.
