WBT binding posts with silver plated hook up wire for the best signal path to your speakers.

I would be the #2 owner of the X2 and yes I'm very happy! Very open and articulate with great bass. I have used wyred4sound sx500 monoblocks for the past few years and while they are good the X2 makes them sound dark and reserved by comparison.

I think Matt described it best as being crystal clear with great dynamics but I'll add it's a rather neutral sounding amp. It has a relatively small footprint for a stereo amp which I like and it has yet to break a sweat. It's literally almost cool to the touch which is nice living in AZ!

Matt was a pleasure to do business with and builds a quality product!

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the kind words and taking the time to post in our circle.

Sounds like the X2 is settling in very well :)

About all I can do is echo Tom. This is a great, compact, powerful, sweet sounding amp, the best I've ever had, and over the years I've owned many of the usual suspects. The tank-like build quality is off the charts. It just oozes top-grade craftsmanship.

It came along just when I was looking for a new amp, and I feel lucky that the timing was perfect. Thanks, Matt.

Hi Randy,

Your amp looks great, the blue indicator light really looks cool underneath and we are very happy that you are enjoying your new amp :)

Best,
Matt

Matt,
Yes, it does look great, but even better, it sounds great.
The blue glow underneath does look cool.  Strange that in my photo the badge on the front looks black, when it is silver.  Shots taken with a flash can do odd things to colors sometimes.
I got some new/used cables to use with it, Discovery Essence. Great combo.

All those photos and not a single one of an assembled unit with the cover off. Odd.

I'll be assembling two amps tomorrow and will post a picture of the inside.

Assembled two amps today and they are singing very nicely as i type this :)

You can see the divider machined directly into the case.

Hey Matt,

These amps look amazing.  I love the way you've got the guts on the bottom, mounting into the unblemished top.  It looks super clean inside too.

What does the big divider do? There's nothing on the other side of the case.

It separates the AC mains from the board and input/output connections.

Do both (or either) of the mono modes,  4Ohm and normal, work when the mono input is fed a single ended signal via a RCA to XLR adapter plugged into this amp?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hi Paul,

Any configuration will work with single ended inputs.

Hi, I'm new to this site.  I was wondering if you have any plans on building mono amps based off the Hypex NC1200 in the near future?  How does the NC1200 compare to ICE and Pascal?  I've owned Bel Canto Ref-500m, Wyred 4 Sound SX-1000, and D-Sonic M3-1500m. Thank you

We don't have any plans to make an amp incorporating the NC1200. The NC400 is far superior to ICE modules, so one could assume the NC1200 would be just as good.

Matt
