I vividly remember the first time I heard Coltrane's "Meditations" back in the 60's. To me Pharoah's playing was incendiary, fierce, and tender at times. Hearing that music at 16 years old was a memorable life experience. Good bye Pharoah. Thank you for what you brought to us.
