Hi - I have built Big Betsy OB's as can be seen here: https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=178298.0

I have ordered the tweeters in the title which can be seen here: https://www.parts-express.com/Aurum-Cantus-AST2560-Aero-Striction-Tweeter-276-440?quantity=1&custcol1=Aurum%20Cantus%20AST2560%20Aero%20Striction%20Tweeter&custcol_ava_item=276-440&custcol_ava_incomeaccount=General&custcol_ava_upccode=844632089312&custcol_ava_pickup=F&custcol_disableshopping=F

and I would appreciate any advice regarding how to mount them on the baffle. The baffle is 40mm thick - should the tweeters be front or rear mounted, flush or inset, radius of rounding router bit, etc. Or is it just a matter of experimentation to see what sounds best?

Any and all suggestions appreciated

Cheers,
Steve

I haven't used them in a while but used them nude sans faceplate. IIRC polar response is pretty good that way.

Maybe not a priority in your application though, just flush mounting it wouldn't be the end of the world. Hopefully you are building a test baffle first?

Thanks John - no, a test baffle would be way too sensible. You've probably noticed that I have another related topic running in this forum , with quite a bit of scepticism regarding the advisibility of adding a tweeter to my open baffles. I might focus on that thread, and see where it leads ;-) (But thanks for your input)
