Just wanted to pop into the AC forum and thank Dave(s?) for a wonderful gathering. I'm new to STL and really enjoyed meeting Dave's audio pals, comparing notes and talking shop with a very appreciative and knowledgeable group. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but you could've scooped up Dave's basement, dropped it in Balt/DC (my old stomping grounds) and everyone would be right at home. It was fun and I look forward to future gatherings and becoming more acquainted with the crew. Thanks again Dave and please pass along my sincerest thanks to Colleen. She hung in like a champ and actually seemed to be enjoying the get-together. I'm not 100% but I think my wife would schedule a day at the spa if I'll pulled one of these events.

Being more the stodgy audiophile with a day job as recording engineer, I enjoyed the Telarc discs on the IMF's with the Dynaco ST-70mk3 the most.  The new Dynaco is actually built by Radial Engineering, of direct box and "do it all problem solving boxes with transformers" that I adore (I even have their bumper sticker on my Astro van!).

I loved the choral music selection Dave played on the Altecs/SET amp.  I need to add that to my library.

PS.  Dibs on the IMF's pending a possible gear sale.

I will host one of these gatherings in the spring or early summer.  Guaranteed.
