The Audio-gd ACSS is similar in theory to the Krell CAST connection (Current Audio Signal Transmission). They are both designed to transfer the signal in the current domain, avoiding several additional voltage gain stages.
They are both proprietary, so the Audio-gd ACSS output must be connected to an Audio-gd ACSS input (and Krell CAST to Krell CAST).
