Stands for HT-1
« on: 10 Nov 2009, 03:18 pm »
I am needing some stands for my wonderful HT-1's. I know at one time that Jim liked the Dayton stands. That particular model is discontinued on Parts Express and could be hard to come by. Are there any other stands I should be looking into?

Sound Anchors? They make custom and adjustable stands.

Another nod for Skylan. A terrific fellow, and the stands are nicely engineered and have a less industrial appearance than the sound anchors that I've seen. I used to own a pair and would buy them again if I needed stands. They usually take about 3 weeks to build and ship. He can make them exactly the height that you want and customize the top plate size as well. The price is very good too (for high quality stands).

If the Skylan look isn't for you, Tyler Acoustics also sells stands that can be customized in height and are sand-fillable. They might fit better with some decor (they look a bit more like Greek columns).

Why not ask Jim to build you a pair in a matching veneer
