Best 2010 Jazz Releases

Always enjoy best of year end lists. Have been listening to Charles Lloyd Quartet - Mirror a bunch this fall. Don't listen to enough jazz to know whether this is top 10 material but it keeps growing on me with every listen. Last year got into Darcy James Argue's Secret Society thanks to 2009 top 10 lists - how about posting 1) your top jazz cds from 2010 (re-releases are good too) or 2) good lists that you have seen posted.

A few I liked so far....years not over yet...and still have plenty that are sealed up...

Another nice duo- trumpet and guitar....Paolo Fresu and Ralph Towner - "Chiaroscuro"

Feeling horny...try this....Trombone Shorty - "Backatown"

Need bass - try....Stanley Clark - "Stanley Clark Band"

And....for the fun of it.....John Ellis and Double-wide - "Puppet Mischief"

Didn't buy as much jazz this year as usual, but I think Brad Mehldau's "Highway Rider" is pretty spectacular. Some great playing from Josh Redman on this one.
