Coupling monitors to stands

I have a question about coupling my monitors to some wood blocks. I have them on blocks to raise them up to appropriate height for me.

I have the blocks now mounted on some footers...so if I set the monitors on the blocks alone, I think they would eventually migrate and walk...so I always toss under some Herbie's Fat Dots of Grunbusters.

What about a piece of sorbothane, cut to the size of the block?

I'm just curious about coupling the entire speaker to the block vs. "isolating" the monitor a de-coupling it from the block via the small pads...

Maybe it doesn't matter, but I'm just curious. Would coupling the monitor more directly to the block drain vibrations into the block more readily?

Another option would be the Isoacoutics monitor stands. I use a (short) pair to raise and slightly tilt my KEF LS50s on top of some 24" stands. Works great. But they were designed for an app like yours.
