FS: Genesis Digital Lens
$450 (list $1800)

This unit has the upgraded newer output driver chip and metal remote.

See review online at Stereophile. Using his Mark Levinson transport, RH writes:
"The Lens's effect on the musical quality of my playback system was truly extraordinary. Adding the Lens rendered improvements in nearly every area of musical performance: soundstage size, bass definition and dynamics, clarity, detail resolution, and timbral liquidity. I heard no drawbacks when adding the Lens, only gains."

Almost completely eliminates transport jitter by reclocking data momentarily in a RAM buffer. Improves detail and delicacy as well as bass and dynamics. Increases bits to 18 or 20. Dither can be added to smooth out harshness in poorly recorded CDs. Can be used with home theater too. Every transport I've owned--even my Pro2m and EA-modded Sony--has benefitted by the Lens. Only selling because I've gone to a battery-operated hard-drive-based system as a transport.
