Title: Anyone played Splinter Cell?
Post by: jqp on 2 Mar 2003, 04:21 am
My friend bought Splinter Cell and finished it. So he lent it to me. I made it through the training and went on my first assignment where I promptly got burnt up in the stairwell before meeting the contact thanks to the woman giving the intel.

That was last week and I haven't picked up on the game since then. Is it worth playing? My friend says it gets a lot more addicting once you get going...

Just picked it up today for my PC.  I'll let you know.  Hopefully it's better than the rogue spear stuff, which really sucked, IMO.

I just beat the game on Thursday and I'm playing through it again.  It is second only to Halo in my opinion.  It just may not be your cup o' tea, but I think that if you give it a chance you'll see the light. :D

Is Splinter Cell a first person shooter?  Don't know too much about it.

It is a third person game based on stealth.  That is the most basic of descriptions for this game.  It is like Metal Gear, but many times better IMHO.  Just buy it, I promise you'll love it.
