Hm that could be. I will round them over a bit. The middle pole I already build as a 3/4x3/4 without roundings as there was nothing mentioned in the plans.

Wanted to ask about something else. One tweeter I got to fit really snug without any visible spacing arround. The other has - if placed right in center like half a mm space arround. That should be nothing to worrie about right?

Lol I am also kinda picky about that stuff.

I think some space is a good thing. I like to increase cabinet flange recess .020-.030" from actual measured dimension. Finish of any type can easily build to .002-.005 making a snug fit raw too tight. I've filed driver flanges in some cases because it's easier than increasing diameter of flange recess.  If finishing in lighter color, I often run a black felt tip pen on vertical wall of recess to create a shadow in that area. I don't like seeing a light ring around driver and just darkening it makes it nearly invisible.

Quick question; the smaller torx screws.... are they for the tweeter or for the back terminal cup?

Crossovers final assembled :)

Back cup. You'll want similar size philips screws for the crossovers

If it was me, I'd do Miflex copper caps but that's not exactly easy on the wallet :P

Yeah that’s a bit too far. Also I definitely don’t want to go for an external crossover.

Will definitely do Miflex bypass eventually. The main caps I have not decided on.
And then maybe mills instead of the daytons.

But for now I am really happy. The crossover in this configuration looks already soooo much heaftier than anything or almost everything commercial available.

Also it’s a bit unfortunate that the one tweeter cap is a 2uf instead of a 2,2 or 1,5 and almost no cap brand Carrys 2uf

Other caps worth considering in the future would be the Janzten Alumen Z cap, which sounds very good and is less expensive than the pure copper foil caps.

Lol do you read my mind???

That was exactly what I had in mind. Alumen on the TW and Clarity CSA on the woofer because I ready that the two match very well and the alumen dont come in 12uf.

Than Miflex bypass on everything. Path Res for the TW and the coild I would leave with the ones from danny.

But this is all future hehe.

I recently acquired another pair of X-SLS built by AV123.  All stock.  I’ve been thinking about upgrading the caps and considering Clarity CMR/ESA or going all out and getting V-Cap ODAM.  Also Miflex bypasses.

BTW I was wondering; what would it actually do to put a 2,2uf instead a 2uf on the tweeter… like Tyson said it’s a minor change but I would be interested what tendency a larger cap in general in that spot is effecting the response :)
Just curious

It will lift the very top octave of the tweeter a little higher.
Maybe 1/2 a dB?

What veneer????  I've been trying to find a pair in Moho for years.
