caps and inductors
« on: 23 Jun 2020, 03:28 pm »
I have made my own air core inductors in the past. So, I was wondering. Can one make their own copper caps as well??
Anyone done this before?

Inductors, yes, and I swore I'd never do it again.  Caps?? Have you ever broken open film/foil cap?  We opened one in my physics class and it unraveled completely around the classroom once and almost twice.

It takes vary big & vary expensive machines and a Quality Control department to make good capacitors.
