Fingers and wrist.  Seems to work pretty darn good.

I bought the Audioquest wrench for another amp I had.  That one worked nice too.  One side fits 7/16 inch and the other side fits 1/2 inch. Costs around $10.  Fingers and wrist are cheaper.

Finger-tightening doesn't achieve a gas-tight connection, a binding post wrench is essential to get the right amount of torque especially if your using spades with thick heavy or doubled up cables. :nono:

I did consider the Audioquest but the binding posts on the D200's are not Hex, are you sure.

I just located and tried the Audioquest wrench on the back of my D-100 posts.  You're right, the posts are not hex and the wrench does not fit.

You are a bit pickier than I am as far as connections.  But that's cool.

  • The elephant normally IS the room
How about simple pliers with a rag to avoid scratching the posts?

The binding posts are meant to be tightened by hand only.
If using two sets of wires, one should be spade and the other banana (locking type preferred).

yo2tup

that can't be healthy for your spades
