Imperial, love those two shots your friend took.

Here's one I took yesterday

Link to the rest of the shots I took yesterday that weren't a total bust:

I like the tree shot, ooheadsoo!

Thanks!  Although, it was the tree that did all the work, not me.

Funny, I can see bark detail in photoshop, but somehow, it disappears by the time it's displayed outside of pshop.

Hey!

    Nice Phil. :D

Is that a hawk? With white snow on the ground is should be easier for that hawk to spot the food to be running around :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

I think it's a hawk, although someone said it could be an owl....

I took it with my Canon S2 IS super-zoom point-and-shoot at full zoom...and I still had to crop this.  So you get a sense of how far away it was...

Nice pic. Looks like a hawk or a falcon to me. I don't think it's an owl given that you can see the silhouette of the beak.

I was snapping pics of parts for my Felix thread and I kind of liked this one.  The alignment and depth of field turned a simple parts shot into something with half-decent composition:

Canon A630

I need to take more pics in general and post some stuff in this area.

I took this one in Paris several years ago.

That bird looks like a Tengmalm's Owl or Boreal Owl.

F 2.8, 1/60 second on a Canon compact I believe
My brother snapped this shot, and I think I will call it:

His master voice

As you can see, his ears are not yet fully "set" in the cartilage, so they "curl" a bit.
He's gonna still have to wear the tape a while to form them pointy things there.
Deep chest and very good sitting position I think.

He puts on strapping leather and walk around in leaves...

...
He's a Dobermann, and he's okay, he sleeps all night and he works all day!

I piss down trees. I eat my bone
I sniff the road ahead.
On Wednesdays I go running
And chase a cat or two...

Bow wow!!!
