One more drag racing shot.

It certainly looks like a handfull.

Loved these heat images with the drag racing shots. I've had a chance to be behind the scenes in a couple of races. The crackling sound of the nitro fuel... and the smell... quite intoxicating. Thanks for the shots.

Yesterday evening, the sun was HUGE as it was setting over the pond and behind the trees at our place in the country. I turned the exposure all the way down to its lowest setting and shot right into it. With a little exposure adjustment in Lightroom, this is what I got.

From a recent trip to Texas. Spicewood, TX is about 30 minutes west of Austin.

Great photos Chip.  How are you getting such sharp colors?  Polarizer?

Those were on my New Nikon 3300 using effects mode in vivid or pop mode. I was playing around to see if they would be any good. I liked a few so I thought I would post them.

Plus it was a great day outside so combined it worked out well. Usually I don't use those modes but thought why not.

Now for a b/w pic

Nice pictures Chip,
please keep posting color and black & white as well.

By the way, no need to take pictures with a Phase One 85Mpx
to have great picture.
I am the exclusive importer-distributor for Phase One in Vietnam.

Chip, Nice to see you experimenting with Black & White. B&W brings a whole new mood to an image altogether. I also really enjoy working in B&W.

Here's a poignant moment that B&W helps to bring some very powerful emotions to the surface. In this case, color doesn't do the same.

A group of friends surround a 5 year old girl, who kneels at the fresh grave of her 9 year old brother, who suddenly died only 3 months ago!

Hi bside123,
many of your black and white pictures (And even color ones) involving human people
have something special.

Yes Chip, very sad. And... the B&W treatment gives the sad image more gravity. This wasn't a "color" moment, if you know what I mean.
