One more, here's a 3-shot panoramic stitch (using the shift) from "Garden of the Gods".

I'd like that to be the screen saver on my 16:9 projection TV.  :thumb:

Bob, the original picture is 9163 x 3757 pixels (34.5 megapixels). I cannot email it (to big) but I can send it to you, if you like.

That's outstanding Pete!   :thumb: :thumb:

It's been way too long since I have been there (late 90's) and this pic brings me back there.

Thank you, but the unit doesn't actually have a way to store an image. One of my old projectors did, but this one doesn't.
My comment was more of a daydream and complement than anything.
BUt again, nice picture, well done!

Nothing but awesome.
When you've got some time, do a Google search for YouTube videos of "tilt shift time lapse".  8)

Well, that search will return a very cool, but diametrically opposed use of such a lens. The impossible perfection of the first photo (especially) in reply #2055 is Pete's objective. In the time-lapse videos, the trick that the intentional distortion plays on our brains (perception of miniaturization) is very entertaining. Two opposite uses for one very cool lens. :thumb:

Which is all the more reason to purchase such a lens.

Yes, those are complicated lenses. And if you don't know what they buy you, then you can't really appreciate what they allow you to do.

And that is a nice use of the tilt-shift by PeteG.  :thumb:

If only it weren't for the one reason we don't have one of them in this house - they're pretty costly (but on the wish list (just haven't made it that far down the list yet )).

Personally I detest the "anti scheimpflug" use of a T/S lens as in those videos. It's an absolutely horrendous mis-use of optics for a cheesy and cheap effect. Every time I see an image made that way I feel sea-sick. If I ever post an image like that Bob in STL may come to my house and take all my camera gear from me as I will clearly have lost it.

PeteG's images, on the other hand, are quite excellent.

In the meantime, while waiting for that day, I'll be selling my gear and buying Lomos  :D

There is a cheaper (although not cheap) way to get T/S than buying dedicated lenses, which is a Kipon adapter for a mirrorless camera.

Kipon's motto is "With great power, comes great responsibilty."

Hi JohnR and all Audio Circle members.
Look as if you need all three units to get all the movements?
(Rise-fall, shift and tilt.)
Is that still less expensive than a real tilt lens?

Looking fast but going nowhere at night.  Shot with my mirror-less camera and old, prime glass.
