Here's a old photo taken four or five years ago. This is crappy parenting at its best.
I thought it would be a good idea to get my daughter up on the pedestal with the scary looking mannequins and have her flip the bird.

Anyway, I thought it was a "keeper" shot, since it's funny and not a bad looking shot for a cheap p/s camera.

Beautiful deer shots, PeteG.

Here's my modest contribution (point and shoot).
A young buck under our apple tree in the backyard, waiting for another apple to fall. This area is "infested" with deer; I have seen as many as 13 on our neighbor's lawn - and it's not a big lot.

Japanese maple a few blocks away:

I don't know why these images are small - I can't seem to make them any bigger.

Great shots guys.

Russell, as good as those shots are, making them larger might make then too "soft". They look great as-is.
Love the tree too. I've been wanting to plant some form of Japanese Maple, just never got around to it.

Bob, I'm sure you're right about the soft aspect. They look soft to me, too - particularly the maple one which I think may be out of focus slightly, thanks to being inadvertently on the macro setting when I shot it!

Sharp detail and much better low  light capability are the main reasons I am thinking about selling the Leica DLux 4 and buying the Sony RX100 in spite of what I see as less accurate colors from the Sony.

The photo is of a volunteer buried in the thousands of donated vinyl records for an annual record sale that is a fundraising event for the blind. Hundreds of boxes of records must be sorted into categories, genres and styles. I got some good stuff there this year!  :thumb:
