Here's a black & white portrait taken last Friday night at a local street fair.
Remarkable ISO 12,800, handheld with available light, 50mm, f2.8, 1/40, processed in Lightroom 4

Ed, that's a good one.
Can't imagine how hard it would be to catch a shot like that!  :o

Hey Bob......... how's it going?
Not that hard really. Just a decent zoom lens, and shot in aperture priority mode, with f/stop as wide open as I could get. In this case it was 5.6. Then just watch the feeder. When they come to it, a lot of times they're only there for 2-3 seconds. You have to be ready for them. Spending my time sitting and watching a bird feeder proves I have no life.............  :green:
You been taking many pictures lately?

Here's another one from earlier today.

Love the Humming Bird shots JVC! Have you ever tried a fast exposure in order to stop the wings? Would be fascinating.

Things are good Ed, thanks for asking. It's been months since I've even logged on the Nikon site. No new pictures here....Well, nothing new for the sake of "picture taking", that is. Only pictures of things I've built. More of a utilitarian picture taking I guess you could call it. Certainly not impressive from a photographic point of view, that's for sure.
