Navi,

I just downloaded the trial version and gave it a spin on a test shot from the Cannon 1Ds. Not really impressed. Slow as hell on a Powerbook G4 (667mhz/512RAM). Sort of clunky, non-intuitive interface. Good controls, though. Pretty crappy looking image processing.....images look too 'digital'.

You can't beat Adobe's converter.....provided you turn OFF 'sharpening' and 'smoothing'. You MUST do this or get weird digital artifacts. Do your sharpening w/ 'unsharp mask' in P-shop. My only complaint w/ this plug in now is it doesn't allow you to 'res-up' in percentages. (fixed values only)

Cannon's software totally blows. Hideously slow, and a terrible interface with limited controls.

Nikon's Capture 3 is quite good....a huge advance over 2, which was nearly as bad as Cannon. (well....in terms of speed) I think there's an update, but haven't tried yet.

cheers,
