Title: New DAC for my Triode Wire Labs Cables :)
Post by: OrangeCrush on 21 May 2018, 11:43 pm
My TWL cables deserved a new DAC. What a match made in heaven! They are very happy now...

I keep reading good things about Audio Note DACs. Someday I hope to listen to one.

Is the TWL PC the Digital American?

Enjoy!

Yes, Digital American for the Dac. Just the regular, not the high current.

Spirit 75 with BNC and Spirit RCAs.

This is ANK, Audio Note Kit which has diverged from AN UK in recent years, but for much less money, you still get a great DAC. IMO, it is perfect for those who want off the high res, number and specification train. I looked at Border Patrol too, but in the end really wanted the AD1865 chip while they are still available. No loss of perceived resolution or detail compared to my older Sabre DAC. But increased weight, texture, depth and dynamics. And dead silent. That really surprised me. I though there would be trade offs, but none yet. This is my lifetime DAC. Redbook sounds better then my high res.

And I can’t say enough good about this little network player:

Audio Note Dac have no jitter reduction, so this feeds it with an insanely low jitter source. I power mine mine from a Teddy Pardo and a Digital American PC.
