SongTowers received
« on: 4 Feb 2012, 07:18 pm »
I just received my SongTowers. :D
They're beautiful.....I can't get over how nice they are. The craftsmanship is a perfectionists dream.
The curly cherry veneer is outstanding. I was worried that the shade of the veneer would be light, but it's perfect.
The posts that I've been reading is true.....looks better in person than photos.

I was hesitant to order without hearing them, but I can tell you that as soon
as they were hooked up and played...incredible!
I absolutely love the sound, unbelievable clarity. I don't know how to describe it. And the bass
is better than I imagined.

I was going to do a sound comparison with my Dahlquist M905's, but forget about that.

Thank you Jim for providing something special for us all.
Craig

Photos aren't great, but gives you an idea of the figuring of the veneer:

Very nice. :thumb:

I have the same veneer/finish.  Although it's one of the "standard" veneers, there's nothing standard about it. :D

Love the veneer, interesting and refined figuring without looking garish!

Mine are very similar (curly cherry) - virtually the same.    I prefer the lighter woods, e.g. cherry, bamboo, etc.

They are gorgeous.

We always purchase the finest "curly" cherry we can get.  It varies from batch to batch and this is one of the nicer batches we have had in years.  But it is still a standard finish.

Thanks to everyone for your comments and welcoming to the Salk family.

My wife was impressed with the certificate.
She really liked the idea of giving credit to everyone involved in the creation
of the Salk product.  I don't know Jim personally, but I think this reflects on the type
of person he is.

Thanks again Jim,
Craig
