It's been too long since I've checked in, and I'm very far behind with your posts.
But Earl St. Clair and his jam brought me back here to spread his word.

Turn it up. Enjoy.  8)

Great find, Bob.  :thumb:

A few weeks ago my daughter and I caught ZZ Ward playing The Roxy in Hollywood (meet and greet VIP Passes). Earl St. Clair was the opening act, and they got everybody jumping and grooving and having a ball. When they were done with the set, everybody in the place was like "Who the hell is this guy?"

Oh, and yeah, ZZ Ward kicked ass.  :D

Once in the 1970s or 80 came to my city Stanley Clarke w/a band w/8 bass players, I have never see it before or after it, all playing together, he used Rotosound strings to great tone.

I don't want background dancers, flashy costumes and lights. Just great music.

I don't think it gets better than this.

You know you've made your mark on the music world when this happens.... twenty five years after you die.

65,000 fans waiting for a "Green Day" concert all sing in unison to the Queen song playing on the PA system.

This song by Tom has the lyrics and rhyme so exotic and refined that still today is innovative and a refined diamond.
A free translation for your appreciation:
March waters - Tom Jobim
It's stick, it's stone, it's the end of the road.
It's a rest of stump, it's a little alone.
It's a shard of glass, it's life, it's the sun.
It's the night, it's death, it's the tie, it's the hook
It is peroba of the field, is the knot of wood
Caingá, Candeia, is the Matita Pereira
It is wind wood, fall from the bluff
It's the deep mystery, it's what you want or you do not want

It's the wind blowing, it's the end of the slope
It is the beam, it is the span, feast of the ridge
It's raining rain, it's raining talk
From the waters of March, it is the end of weariness
It's the foot, it's the ground, it's the walking
Bird in hand, shooter stone
It's a bird in the sky, it's a bird on the ground.
It is a stream, it is a fountain, it is a piece of bread

It's the bottom of the pit, it's the end of the road
In the face, disgust, is a little alone
It is a narrow, it is a nail, it is a point, it is a point
It's a trickle, it's an account, it's a tale.
It's a fish, it's a gesture, it's a shining silver
It's morning light, it's the brick coming
It's the firewood, it's the day, it's the end of the sting.
It's the cane bottle, the shrapnel on the road.

It is the design of the house, it is the body in bed
It's the broken car, it's the mud, it's the mud.
It's a step, it's a bridge, it's a frog, it's a frog
It is a rest of bush in the morning light
It's the March waters closing summer
It is the promise of life in your heart.

It's a snake, it's a stick, it's John, it's Joseph.
It is a thorn in the hand, it is a cut in the foot
It's the March waters closing summer
It is the promise of life in your heart.

It's dick, it's stone, it's the end of the road.
It's a rest of stump, it's a little alone.
It's a step, it's a bridge, it's a frog, it's a frog
It is a beautiful horizon, it is a third
It's the March waters closing summer
It is the promise of life in your heart.

Au, edra, im, minho
This, I hear, I hear, I say
Aco, idro, ida, ol, oite, orte, steel, zol
It's the March waters closing summer
It is the promise of life in your heart.

This version is Tom and the divine Elis with a funny ending:
